I choose people who choose me back.
Not just in words, but in presence. In effort. In truth.
I no longer chase love, I receive it in the spaces where I am fully met.
I choose progress, not perfection.
Because healing is not about arriving, it’s about honoring every step along the way.
And I’ve learned to celebrate myself, even when I’m still becoming.
I choose slower days over the pressure to always produce.
My nervous system deserves softness.
My spirit was never made for constant urgency, it was made for depth, for presence, for soul.
I choose boundaries that protect my peace.
Not to push people away, but to honor the sacredness of my energy.
I’ve spent too many years betraying myself to be liked. I don’t do that anymore.
I choose conversations where I feel safe.
Not performances. Not proving. Not shrinking.
But real, honest, soul-touching exchange, the kind where I can be both soft and strong.
I choose rest, without guilt.
Because rest is not weakness.
Rest is the rebellion of a woman who no longer ties her worth to her productivity.
And most of all…
I choose to be the real version of me.
Not the filtered, pleasing, overfunctioning version I had to become to survive.
But the woman I’ve fought to remember.
The one who feels deeply, loves fiercely, and walks through fire with grace.
This is the life I choose now.
And it’s not always easy. But it’s mine. And it’s true.
And I am finally, deeply, at home in myself.
May you choose yourself with courage.
May your boundaries be sacred.
May your rest be holy.
May your life reflect the truth of who you are.
I send you love,🤍
